Upstore is a premium file host that performed well in both browser and JDownloader 2 testing.
In our test, Chrome downloads reached 8.3–8.7 MB/s on a single file, while JDownloader 2 reached 47.90 MB/s combined across four active downloads.
We tested Upstore with free downloads, Chrome premium downloads, and JDownloader 2 to see how it performs in real use. This review focuses on free-tier restrictions, browser speed, JD2 compatibility, hCaptcha steps, and practical premium usability.

Our Upstore review is based on browser download checks, JDownloader 2 compatibility testing, free-tier restrictions, premium account limits, payment experience, and real-world usability. Read our full testing methodology.
Our Real-World Setup: We tested Upstore using Chrome browser downloads, JDownloader 2 account integration, free-tier access, and a premium account across single-file and multi-file download sessions.
Upstore Free Tier: Clean Page, Slow Speed
Upstore’s free tier was cleaner than many file hosts we tested. We did not see aggressive pop-up ads or fake download buttons during this session.
The main limitation is speed.
In our test, free users had to wait for a 60-second timer before the download process could continue. After that, Upstore required an hCaptcha challenge before the final download link became available.
Once the download started in Chrome, the speed stayed around 60–80 KB/s. That is usable for very small files, but too slow for large archives or multi-part downloads.
Premium Browser Speed: Strong Chrome Result
Upstore Premium performed well in Chrome during our test.
A single premium download reached around 8.3–8.7 MB/s. That was much faster than the free-tier result and usable for large single files.
We also tested three browser downloads at the same time. During that session, the active files ran at around 8.8 MB/s, 6.7 MB/s, and 6.6 MB/s, producing a combined browser speed of about 21.4 MB/s.
This makes Upstore one of the better browser-performing hosts in our current test set. Speeds can still vary by region, routing, server load, account status, and active connection settings.
JDownloader 2 Test: Strong Multi-File Result
Upstore also worked correctly with JDownloader 2 in our test.
We added the Upstore premium account through JD2’s Account Manager using the upstore.net host entry. JD2 accepted the login details and verified the account as premium during our session.
In our four-file JD2 test, the active downloads ran at around 14.00 MB/s, 8.46 MB/s, 12.24 MB/s, and 12.73 MB/s. The combined transfer rate reached 47.90 MB/s.
That was much faster than our single browser download result. However, it should not be treated as a guaranteed speed or proof of unlimited bandwidth. Results can vary by region, routing, server load, account status, and JD2 connection settings.

Verdict
Upstore Premium performed well in both Chrome and JDownloader 2 during our test.
The free tier is clean but slow. In our session, free users had to wait 60 seconds, complete an hCaptcha check, and then download at around 60–80 KB/s in Chrome.
Premium was much better. A single Chrome download reached around 8.3–8.7 MB/s, and three active browser downloads reached about 21.4 MB/s combined.
JDownloader 2 produced the strongest result. In our four-file JD2 test, Upstore reached a combined 47.90 MB/s across active downloads.
Upstore Premium is worth testing with a short plan first if your target files are hosted there. Before buying a longer plan, verify the current traffic rules, payment options, and whether your uploader regularly uses Upstore mirrors.
